Recipe | Brown Butter Pumpkin Spice Rice Crispy Treats

These delicious pumpkin spice pecans reminded me so much of the honey roasted nuts that overtake Manhattan on a crisp autumn morning.

What better way to celebrate the arrival of Fall than with some delicious treats. I made these yummy pumpkin spice rice crispy treats that will be sure to warm your heart and your stomach :)

  • 4 tablespoons butter

  • 4 cups miniature marshmallows

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice

  • 5 cups crisp rice cereal

  • 1 4oz bag Santé Pumpkin Spice Pecans

For brown butter icing:

  • 6 tablespoons butter

  • 1 1/4 cups powdered sugar, sifted

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

  • Milk or cream as need

  • 1/2 cup Santé Pumpkin Spice Pecans coarsely chopped


  1. Butter an 8" square baking dish

  2. Brown butter over medium heat. Once browned, add marshmallows, cinnamon, ginger, and allspice. Cook, stirring frequently, until marshmallows are melted

  3. Take off heat and stir in cereal and pecans. Screape mixture into prepared dish and spread evenly, pressing into the corners.

  4. Let cool completely.

  5. For icing, brown butter in saucepan. Scrape into a medium bowl and let cool until just warm. Stir in powdered sugar, vanilla and milk as needed.

  6. Drizzle crispy treats with icing and sprinkle with chopped pecans.
